So a few months ago, I was contacted by the lovely people at Blogosphere Magazine, advising that I had been chosen as one of their Top 10 for their In The Spotlight feature. I was so shocked and to be honest, thought they must have me muddled up with someone else! But no, there my little blog was, on their website, amongst nine other amazing blogs. You can see the full feature here.
Then, not long after, I was contacted by Albertine (Dippy Writes) at Blogosphere, advising that by some mental miracle, my blog had been chosen to be featured in the actual magazine, what the actual ****. Safe to say, I am still a bit shocked by this now, and I have had a few months to try to get used to it!
Then it got even better, I was invited to the Blogosphere Cover Reveal for Issue 10. I literally screamed with excitement, even more so when it was announced that the stunning Victoria of InTheFrow would be the cover star and would actually be there, in real life!
On the evening itself, we arrived quite early as I wanted to make the most of every minute. I was able to bring my boyfriend along with me, which was really nice of the team at Blogosphere, as it meant I got to share one of my blogging highlights with him. It was a bit daunting entering the room at first, as we didn’t know anyone, so naturally we made a bee line for the bar, and I drank a glass of prosecco, probably a bit quicker than is reasonable!
Whilst standing rather awkwardly at a table, the lovely Katie of Lil’ Black Boots introduced herself (also an In the Spotlighter) and soon I relaxed into the night. She was great company and runs an incredible blog (which you should check out if you haven’t already).
I met the lovely ladies at Sparkle PR who helped me feel even more at ease, and talked me through the amazing Shea Moisture hair products. I am somewhat addicted to the hair masque I was lucky enough to have included in my goodie bag. There were also some gorgeous girls from Lord and Berry giving make overs, and I tried their stunning red liquid lip, which, dare I say it, could rival the Stila ones!!
There was a delightful pick n mix table and I quickly filled a bag full of treats before they were devoured and got talking to more bloggers. I got to meet, speak to and even hug the beautiful Victoria of InTheFrow who is just a beautiful person, both inside and out. She made time to properly speak to everyone there, which meant she was constantly on the move, but then again, she was been constantly on the move since starting her blog and she is a true testament to where hard work can get you.
I even got to spend some time talking to the gorgeous Carly Rowena, the infectiously fun Lucy and Lydia as well as my fellow In The Spotlighters Ciara, from A Wandering Blog and Arora, from AroraAppleby.
I could not contain my excitement when Alice (the editor) handed me a copy of the magazine, and I quickly flipped through the pages to find my interview. I was so made up with the finished piece when I saw it and I don’t think I have yet stopped smiling!
I had an amazing night, met some amazing people, drank a few too many prosecco’s and ate my weight in pick n mix but they are just signs of a truly awesome night.
Thank you so so much Blogosphere for giving me such an amazing opportunity, I cannot put into words how grateful I am!
